Terry’s midday wading trip under bright blue skies on a favorite stream produced 7 smallmouth bass and numerous green sunfish. Most smallies were 8 to 9 inches but one of 13 inches jumped 6 times. All the fights were enhanced by my favorite 3-wt. rod. A white/silver size 10 Mini Minnie accounted for most but a chartreuse Sponge Spider fooled a few as well. Pockets of shade along the rocky shoreline produced best.
