Don’t let unsettled weather keep you at home–go bass fishing! They won’t be positioned on their usual structure; instead, they’ll be over open water or they will relate to structure horizontally. Locate them with a locator, trolling or random casting to find suspended bass in open water. Use large streamers on full-sink line, count the fly down, and wait for hits to tell you where they are. Our own Squirrel Spins, Bass Bullys or Ozark Woolly Buggers are good for early spring bass. Remember this is the time to catch the biggest bass of the year!
