Unseasonably cold nights caused water temperatures to plummet and increased fish appetites. Wading feeder streams to big reservoirs produced a bountiful mixed bag. Streamers of various sizes produced large bluegills, crappies, and both largemouth and smallmouth bass. Four- and five-weight rods, intermediate lines, and 4X tippets delivered flies to shaded deadfalls and rock piles. We’re still loving autumn fishing.
